Today, with a booming oil industry, cattle industry and tourism, it has become a prime economic hub in Kansas. Situated on the confluence of the Big and the Little Arkansas rivers, Wichita, Kansas is represented by the magnificent statue of Keeper of the Plains, a 5 ton, 44 foot tall sculpture, created by the well-known artist Blackbear Bosin.
